Science, Period: Best feminine products for women scientists

,

Let’s Talk Periods.

Being a female scientist is awesome! But of course, females everywhere can imagine certain challenges. Here’s some best products and tricks to managing your period when you’re in the field.

After storing them in old bait bags, packets wrapped up in a cloth, these ladies are ready to share their experiences.

First tip: If you’re doing field research on a boat, Have a dry bag or box where you can keep all your supplies. Dr. Sammy Davis, Biologist.

The number one product… Diva cup! As a swimmer, diver, field biologist — this is the number one product every lady says is a MUST have. Low key maintenance, low environmental impact, easier to use in the tropics than a tampon– the diva cup has been the ultimate period companion. (No, this isn’t sponsored, they just really like it!)

We do have some team tampon ladies, too! A special shout out to Playtex Sport–It’s super absorbant when you need it.
